GLOW season is underway.
Tuesday Night Singles starts at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, November 8. $2 play, $2 for 2 CTPs and $1 for TNS Ace Pot. Rotating between Silver to Silver & Silver to Gold. Players will be handicapped AFTER their second TNS participation. That means that the first and second time playing in TNS, the player will have a 0 handicap. The player will then have a handicap assigned after that through the end of the TNS season and which will be posted at The Disc Golf Scene every Thursday morning.
Thursday Random Draw Doubles: starts at 6:30 pm. Only $5 to play. This is because Glow is a little more expensive to play because of the lights required. $2 will be for 2 CTP holes, $2 will go to the payout, and $1 to the Ace fund. The layout will change week to week.
GLOW Tournament coming soon: Sunday January 1st will will be having a glow tournament. Start time will be 7 pm. It will be a bring your own partner doubles but if you do not have a partner that is ok. We will do random draw for those without partners. Divisions will be Good/average players with a $20 buy-in (full payout with 3 places paid 1st 60%, 2nd 30%, and 3rd 10%), Mediocre/beginners with a $10 buy-in (same as above). Check out the Cobb Disc Golf Club Online Store!
It took me an embarassingly long time to realize how easy it is to set up a paypal shopping cart, but when the light came on I saw no reason to delay. We've got several things for sale on the page, including tee shirts and reusable laminated scorecards. Our new 2010 minis have also arrived and are on sale, as well as our custom screen-printed club tee shirts. The store isn't very fancy yet, since we're still working out the fiddly bits like pictures of the merchandise and exactly how we want to configure the paypal buttons for a couple of things, but it's now online and working, so feel free to go ahead and start shopping!
