What is the Ice Bowl?
The Ice Bowl
is an annual charity event organized by disc golfers worldwide. All Ice
Bowl tournaments benefit the needy in some way, either through
donations of money or food. For more general information about the Ice
Bowl, visit http://www.icebowlhq.com.This year the Cobb Disc Golf Club has chosen to donate all proceeds of our Oregon Park Ice Bowl to MUST Ministries, a nonprofit charity organization in the community that provides food and shelter to the needy. We will be collecting food as well as cash donations. Our goals are 500lbs. of food and $1000.

Our 3rd Annual Oregon Park Ice Bowl Charity Tournament was held on Saturday, February 20, 2010. We enjoyed balmy 60-degree February weather, but we promise it snowed the previous week! No really, there was a little snow left over in the fairway of the temporary hole we set up. We can't explain how the weather went from low-30's and several inches of snow to bright, sunny, and 60 degrees in only a week, but that's how the winters go around here. We played two rounds of disc golf (with fundraising mulligans aplenty) to 19 baskets, with a break of Johnny's Pizza for lunch. This year we raised $1200 for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta!
